This public forum provides an avenue of free expression, within civil guidelines, including examples of supporting causes through donations of ART, Music and Literature. Participants need not be socially or economically disadvantaged to exhibit.
Key principal to posting on this site: The restrictions imposed by my occupation are likewise imposed on this forum.
My occupation, as Minister of Peace, restricts me from participating in the devaluation of any right held by persons of culture, social disadvantage or disability. Therefore "bashing" is not a practice which will be tolerated on this forum.
Loss of limb and life is viewed as a loss of rights when associated with violent conflict, which I cannot support, nor will I allow this forum to be used in support of violence.
I am legally Ordained, and therefore charged with the responsibility of reporting abuses to vulnerable persons, including children, women, elders, and the disabled.
My occupation provides the right and responsibility of social services. This includes donation, outreach, referral, and any legal attempt to bring equity and social security to a diverse and disadvantaged population.
This public forum is a legal attempt to protect the Art form and independent living of individuals who are disadvantaged, or who otherwise are failing at self-advocacy.
Should we stray, in our assumptions; I strongly encourage separation of church and state, as a qualifying factor for maintaining social equity.
Proving contracts to "faith based" service providers is a questionable practice.
Religion is not a one-size-fits-all consumer product.
I have concerns that equity become less likely, in a community that must rely on its advocates, non-profits and churchmen, due to "CRISIS." The reason for this concern is that persons associated with specific religions may view disability as punishment, and disadvantage as the outcome for “sin.”
I find this penchant to blame the victim ironic. When you consider the Christian faith, Christ was the greatest public advocate and social worker for the outcast and disabled. When a community refuses to devote its resources to taking care of its own, considers the vulnerable a burden, and creates a class of outcast citizens, things have not changed for the better.
Clearly, local and major governments delegate the task of humanitarian relief to religious societies and independent advocates, when they can avoid the responsibility.
There are no easy answers to becoming involved in world community concerns without causing harm.
Questions concerning site appropriateness can be private messaged to the Editor/Administrator.
